Our walks are between 3 and 6 hours. The following list is our recommendations for what you need to bring to enjoy your ramble.
- Day rucksack
- Drink bottle – 1 to 2 litre
- Hiking boots or hiking shoes with good ankle support and grip, or other sturdy footwear
- Wind and water-proof jacket with hood – wear or pack depending on the weather
- Long cotton trousers - to protect against bramble and nettle stings
- Sun hat or warm woolly hat – pack one and wear the other
- Sunglasses – wear or pack
- Walking poles (optional)
- Woollen socks
- Packed lunch and snacks – pack more than you think you'll need
- Fully charged mobile phone – and charger
- Personal medication, eg antihistamines, asthma medication
Conditions can change so be prepared with:
- Long sleeved top in wool or fleece – wear or pack depending on the weather
- Gloves
- Waterproof overtrousers
